The Work of Seth Zvi Rosenfeld

Thurs. April 18 2024

For Volume 9, Good Evening is proud to present a mini retrospective of the work of playwright, TV writer, and filmmaker
Seth Zvi Rosenfeld.

Though he’s written and produced on a handful of beloved TV shows, including The Get Down and How to Make it in America, and directed a number of films including the John Leguizamo-fronted King of the Jungle, Seth’s career as a writer began in the theater. His first full-length work, The Writing on the Wall, was one of the first plays to depict New York’s graffiti and hip-hop cultures, and was scooped up by New Line Cinemas in 1990. Seth went on to stage a number of major productions in New York, including plays with Naked Angels, INTAR, The New Group, and the Hop-Hop Theatre festival, and developed new work with The Public Theater, EST, and LAByrinth Theater Company.
